Summer is here… in Alaska

Summer is here…
The past few weeks have been very exciting as the snow in the Matanatsu Valley has melted and you see campers, four wheelers and the landscape change from white to green!
Or not quite yet…
This week a fresh blanket of snow has draped the mountains like a polar bear coat. It hasn’t stopped the hikers, bikers and campers flooding into the state.
Crisis & Trauma Care
I’ve been blessed the past few months to meet with many groups and individuals who share my passion for crisis and trauma care. There are so many warriors God is using to shine His marvelous light through to overcome the darkness that cause Alaskans so much trauma.
Heroin Overdoses
During the month of May, there has been a dramatic increase in heroin overdoses in Anchorage. Emergency personnel are arriving on the deadly scenes but have also saved many lives using a drug called Narcan. Please pray for hope, restoration and recovery for those who have overdosed and those who have lost family members and friends to overdoses.

Sex-Trafficking in Alaska
I had the joy of attending a Priceless Mentorship training (part of Love Alaska). This wonderful organization has multitudes who are responding to the call of helping young women and girls recover from the trap of sex-trafficking.  I want to visit the many young women who have been arrested for prostitution and are currently in detention centers here.
Dairy Farmers in Palmer Alaska
Part of New Deal
It was at the Priceless training I made a new friend. Naomi Hanks. Her mother was one of the six daughters of Paul and Margaret Nelson.  In 1933 Margaret married Paul Nelson at the age of 20. In the spring of 1935, Paul and Margaret became one of the 350 families that moved to the Matanuska Valley as part of the Valley Project. Youngest of all the colonists, they lived in the tent city in Palmer until October 1935 while their housing was being built on the Butte (now the reindeer farm). You can read more about their story by clicking here…

Every Tongue and Tribe
Since I came here last November I have met so many people from all over the world. There are 100’s of people from every tongue and tribe! A lot is happening here in Alaska and I still have so much to learn and look forward to.  Our God is amazing!  I am so thankful to be part of helping others find hope in the midst of crisis and trauma and making new friends like Naomi.  There are many opportunities to share the hope and new life that I was given so many years ago after being faced with crisis and trauma.
Friends and Family
A day doesn’t go by when I’m not reminded of the many many friends and family members God has used to help me during my life and are still a part of helping me here in Alaska.  I do have to say, “I do miss my family and friends so much but I’m thankful for new friends and family.
My youngest son Maverick and his wife Amy will be having a another little baby boy, Hudson in June. Jonah (pictured here will have a younger brother).  They will leave after Hudson is born to move to Asia!  I see another continent in my future!
I need your support now more than ever!  It is only through your loving prayers and words of encouragement as well as those that can help support me financially that I will be able to carry out the work that God has called me to wherever a crisis calls. Whether it is prayer, regular monthly support or simply a small donation, they are all appreciated. I need and want to hear from you and how I can pray for you and your needs as well. We are all on God’s team!

I am almost 1/4 of the way to reach my monthly budget.  Please considering committing to one year at $25, $50, $75 or $100 per month, or giving a one-time gift.  All contributions are tax deductible.

A little About Marlene Marlene was raised in Sanford, Florida, the daughter of a 12th generation farmer and part Cherokee mother. Marlene first met Jesus at the tender age of six sitting in an orange tree in her backyard. This was when she first felt the Holy Spirit speaking to her about going to different nations and sharing the love and resurrection power of Jesus to others. She is mother to four sons, three grandchildren, and has many spiritual sons and daughters. Isaiah 54 is her life chapter. It was from that scripture God gave her two specific promises about her physical children, "All your children will be taught of the Lord and have great peace.”(Isaiah 54:13) and, “Your decendents will occupy other nations and resettle the ruined cities.” (Isaiah 54:3) Marlene follows the leading of the Lord and goes wherever and by whatever means God guides and provides. She ministers in meetings, retreats, slums, villages, churches and alongside others who are also called to share the good news, pray for the sick and hurting. She has a heart to equip and train the latter day church helping them to prepare for the harvest that is ripe. She is a mother and father to those who are broken, hurting and orphaned. This could be across the street or across the world. It could be in the jailhouse, at someone’s penthouse or simply a backyard BBQ. Wherever she is, her desire is to minister bringing hope and healing. She has a heart for the lost, backslidden and broken and Her desire is to love and know the Lord fully and unconditionally always growing in His grace, wisdom, and mercy; becoming the Lord's perfect bride, without spot or wrinkle. God created us to be beautiful. She wants you to know His love and become God’s treasure in and on the earth, maturing and growing to help others find their identity and place and to finish the race well. God searches today for those who will make Him their single desire, who will say with the Psalmist and King David that, “the Lord is the portion of mine inheritance” (Psalm 16:5). They will be His special possession because, “the Lord hath chosen Jacob unto Himself, and Israel for His peculiar treasure” (Psalm 135:4). 850-661-6104 24/7 Prayer CinderellaReleased.Me Webpage
