The Cloud is Moving On Bat Zion!

17862659_10208980376046247_644929678949500326_n

A little before midnight 5/1/2017 the LORD called my spiritual mom, confidant and one of my very special mentors home to be with Him.

She always told me, Marlene, I pray the Lord will take me to be with Him not one minute sooner or later than He desires and that I will have finished my race well.

I only know that in every city the Holy Spirit warns me that prison and hardships are facing me. However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace. Acts 20:23-24

I think anyone that knows Barbara knows she has finished her race well, and is now on to the next phase of where God has so magnificently placed her for the next millennial and beyond!

One of her favorite songs (she wrote) she would always sing to me when she was getting ready to go on to her next assignment was, “I’m packing my bags, getting ready to go, I can’t delay… Because the cloud is moving on, the cloud is moving on and I can’t stay.”

During the past twenty-five years Barbara has walked with me through many many trials and crisis’ in my life.  She has not only been there for me, but also for my four sons, praying faithfully for all of us.  She always shared what was on her heart, whether I wanted to hear it or not.

A few years ago I was in a very depressed state (again…) and my world had fallen apart. She called me nearly every day to encourage me. This is what she wrote to me:

12/15/2013

Marlene

I pray for you regularly because I know you are so talented and have a great anointing on your life and a destiny arranged by God for you before the foundation of the world.

I can only tell you what I am doing, and Richard confirmed this morning that I am right on.

Devour the Word Marlene, I read all of the Book of Revelation yesterday and Hebrews this morning. I don’t ever remember devouring the Word like I am this last few weeks.

Just read until God gives you a Rhema Word and then cling to that Word for dear life. Jesus is the Word and He is our Bread, the Bread of Life.

What’s happening is that our faith is being stretched like never before. We are no longer in the boat and what that means to me is that if He doesn’t rescue us, we’re lost. I’ve been in such pain with my leg this week, but remember Moses was on the backside of the desert when God called him to deliver His chosen people.

Richard had a word this morning that we can only go on as high a mountain as we have been prepared for through our testings and experiences. And you my dear friend have had more than your share of problems.

Command that depression to get off you right now. You have the authority. Encourage yourself in the Lord and review every promise He has given you. I pray for a witty invention for you. This is a trial of your faith, but because Jesus is interceding for you you will find your destiny.

This morning said that we can call our future in right now because God has already finished it. So I say to you. NO MORE DELAYS. NO MORE DETOURS. YOU ARE GOING INTO YOUR PROMISED LAND.

I love you and will type up the list of declarations for you to pray in.
Talk to you soon.

Barbara

Below is the list of declarations… that you can pray over yourself and others!

The Coming Tsunami… Where will you be and what will you be doing?

The Coming Tsunami… Where will you be and what will you be doing?

military-vehicle

I dreamed I was in a military vehicle being deployed when all of a sudden all I could see were vehicles going under what appeared to be an infinity pool.

infinity pool.jpeg

One minute everything was normal and the next, all I could see was water and vehicles going under.

tsunami

As I watched in horror I felt a tremendous need to yell and tell the driver not to turn onto the upcoming bridge because the water was coming that direction.  The sound of the trucks and the approaching wave drowned out my voice.  It was obvious we would turn onto the bridge and be directly in its’ path.

psunami-bridge

My next recollection was being out of the truck and walking not on the water but on vehicles, boxes, containers and debris that were submerged in the water.  I felt young and able to lightly jump from one floating debris onto another as if I was walking on chunks of floating ice.

debris

As I got to the end of all of the floating debris and the wave had passed, I looked out into the massive ocean of water beyond and thought to myself,

“Lord, is this my end?  What have I done.  Will the next thing I see be your face?  Will the next thing I hear be ‘Well done, good and faithful servant?'”

standing-out-on-water

The next thing I remember thinking is “I’ve waited too long to step out.”  I don’t think I’m ready for this moment.  There is something else I need to do, but I’m not quite certain what my assignment is?

Then, I remember The Parable of the Three Talents and the servant who buried their talent because of fear.  (Matthew 25:14-30) I cried out in my sleep, “Lord, don’t let me be afraid, help me to risk it all.”

buried-talent

I felt the Lord saying,

Marlene, your talents aren’t any good if they are buried, or you are not using them for My purpose and plan.  In order to be fully satisfied you must risk them all for MY SAKE.

So, with this said, I made the decision to risk it all, give it all, trust it all to Him.  The author and finisher of my faith.

Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:1-2

52 years later: Alaskans remember devastation of 1964 earthquake

By KTVA CBS 11 News 4:50 PM March 27, 2016

ANCHORAGE –

More than 100 people died on March 27, 1964 during the magnitude 9.2 earthquake and ensuing tsunamis, which devastated coastal communities in southcentral Alaska. Fifty-two years later, survivors recounted the terrifying moments during the quake and its aftermath.

The tremors of the earthquake were first recorded at 5:36 p.m., 55 miles west of Valdez, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the West Coast & Alaska Tsunami Warning Center. Nine deaths in Alaska occurred in connection with the earthquake, but 106 Alaskans were killed shortly after when large waves rushed coastal communities, destroying some, like Chenega.

In Chenega, more than 20 lives were lost and the village considered destroyed after three large waves, according to the Chenega Corporation. In Valdez, 32 people, many of whom were at the docks when the tsunamis struck, including children, were killed. A video captured aboard a boat docked in Valdez shows the sudden draining of the port and the resurgence of the water as the first tsunami struck.

Others living in western states and Hawaii and along the west coast of Canada also died, bringing the estimated total number of deaths associated with the earthquake and tsunamis to just over 130.

‘We couldn’t walk’

Mark Boots, now 58, was 6-years-old when the earthquake struck. At the time, he and his family lived in the Turnagain area of Anchorage. He told KTVA he remembered thinking it was “quite fun” for a kid, until he saw the destruction outside.

“You couldn’t walk, but it was still fun, until you saw the houses at the end of the street drop off, and then you knew there was something wrong,” he recalled. “After the devastation, it was just unbelievable.”

Boots said none of his family was hurt during the quake, including one of his brothers, who he said slept right through the shaking. Boots said others weren’t so lucky.

“I remember hearing the stories hours later when [my mom] finally did get home,” Boots said, explaining what happened to his mother as she left J.C. Penney’s in downtown Anchorage during the earthquake. “Hearing the stories of her holding onto a parking meter, trying to get into her car, and turning around and watching the side of Penney’s, where she’d just walked out of, come down and land on a car, and I guess the lady that was in the car died.”

Alaska Gov. Bill Walker was also alive during the earthquake, and said in a Facebook post Sunday that his family’s business in Valdez was hit hard by the disaster:

“March 27, 1964 is a day that will live in my memory forever. Our small town of Valdez lost over 30 friends and neighbors. All the material for my family’s business was lost that day. Alaskans pulled together to bury our loved ones, rebuild our communities and forge a path forward for our state. In these tough fiscal times, it is important to remember that this historic demonstration of the true spirit of the Last Frontier which provides an enduring and inspiring example to us today.”

On Friday, Walker ordered all Alaska flags to be lowered to remember the 115 Alaskans who died during the earthquake and tsunamis.

Baby It’s Cold Outside

Baby it's cold outside

This month love is celebrated!  While some may receive flowers, cards and gifts and others are alone and heartbroken.

God has been so faithful to allow me to be here in the midst of a lost and hurting generation. Although there have been days when I longed for family and friends and sometimes it is depressing to see so many broken lives I feel so humbled and inadequate at times.

One of the main obstacles to ministering to the Alaskan people and in particularly the natives in the villages is the use of alcohol. I have dealt with more than one young native that battle with alcoholism.  It has devastated their lives.  In already extremely difficult situations, they battle the uphill climb to go to school, get a job and then travel from place to place without a driver’s license.  Most have had multiple offenses on their records as minors and may never be able to drive or own a car.  In most villages alcohol has not been allowed for natives and the pros and cons have been debated for decades.

I have been able to set up a table at Alaska Health Fair, which is a statewide event that will be running in different cities throughout Alaska the next few months.  I am conducting stress tests, and opening up opportunities for crisis and trauma care, as well as praying with those who are open. This month was exciting because I already have two people interested in coming to a Discovery Group to learn more about how God wants to work in our lives.

“In addition, Dr. David Patterson (Cherokee) has found that cultural disconnection plays a large part in alcoholism for Native Americans, as it did in his case. The shame and abuse from historical trauma suffered by Native peoples, and the forced disconnection from culture and heritage, is a perfect setup that can lead to alcohol abuse to ease the pain.”

Unlike other cultures that have ingested alcohol for thousands of years, the relationship between indigenous Americans and alcohol is relatively new. Native Americans have had fewer centuries to develop the tolerance to alcohol that is present in other ethnic groups. Mix in poverty and living with ongoing oppression, and alcohol contributes to a state of emergency on many reservations. Andrew Bentley Alcohol:  It’s Different for Native Americans.

Alcohol abuse is major killer across the world – and in Alaska ~Doug O’Harra

Alcohol abuse fuels our homegrown epidemic of domestic violence and sexual assault and also contributes to the state’s high rate suicide, according to state health officials and police. More details can be found here and hereAlcohol induced deaths — where alcohol abuse leads to fatal health problems — is three times the national average in Alaska. Alaska News

We don’t yet see things clearly. We’re squinting in a fog, peering through a mist. But it won’t be long before the weather clears and the sun shines bright! We’ll see it all then, see it all as clearly as God sees us, knowing him directly just as he knows us!
I Corinthians 13:12

Seeing God’s Face

anna

36 And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser: she was of a great age, and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity;

37 And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day.

38 And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord, and spake of him to all them that looked for redemption in Jerusalem. Luke 2:36-38

Hi, there…. (squinching at the lights) I’m so happy to be here tonight! I’ve been asked to tell you about the day my ministry really took off…

You see it is never too late…for us old timers. I’ve put in a lot hours…(fastin’ and prayin) before I got my big break…

It didn’t happen like I thought it would. All that work, fasting, praying, why I was a churcha, I mean workaholic for the church…I mean I was a faithful, trustworthy, God fearing Jewish woman who followed all the rules! I was even known as a prophetess, one who could forsee the future.

presentation_au_temple_bellini

Wait a minute… I forgot my introduction… let me start over….”

My name is, Evangelist Anna. Anna is the Greek Version but actually came from Hanna, which means favor and grace. I’m from the tribe of Asher, which means happy.

In Deuteronomy, Moses prophesies that for the tribe of Asher, (my tribe), “your strength will equal your days” (Deuteronomy 33:25).

My life shows evidence of that!

With all that being said you would think my life would be perfect! I am Jewish and I go to the Temple regularly, even 24/7 to pray and I’m usually ALWAYS fasting too. I love to serve Yeshua in the temple…

life.jpeg

It is my life… L_I_F_E -! Aah Life! LIVING_ IN_ FAITH_ EVERY DAY!

Why, Serving Him is what I was created to do. I come, I pray and I meditate on the Holy Scriptures… You see they are here and sometimes when no one is here but me, I will unroll them and hide them in my heart.

My father was Phanuel. His name meant Face of God. You will understand in a moment why that’s important.

When others talk about that day, my age is always mentioned! It’s even suggested that I was ancient! It has been of great discussion throughout the centuries. You see it is written that I was a widow of 84 years…. I was married for seven years before my husband passed…. And of course everyone tries to guess how old I was when I got married…. So, If I got married at 14, I could be maybe…105? Or some just think I was 84! What do you think? I think it really doesn’t matter, but what does matter is I had been around a long time and I had and continue to see a lot.

religiousmanprayingjpg

There were many times the enemy tried to distract me from what I was really doing and from purpose and plan God had ordained for me from the beginning. I realize that listening is more important than talking. You just need to listen to God’s voice.

Along with listening, I was waiting…. Waiting for the day that God had promised to me. As a forseer I knew the day would come when I would realize my purpose for serving God would be revealed. It took a long time for me. Maybe it’s taking a long time for some of you too.

Is it taking a long time?

My husband died seven years after we were married. That’s when I started spending a lot of time alone with Yeshua. After he passed, God spoke to me and told me He would provide. And He has. It’s actually an honor and custom to take care of widows and orphans in the Jewish faith. I was blessed to have a family of believers at my side. I’d go to the Temple every day. To Fast, To Pray, To Read the Holy Scriptures! Yes, I was a woman who could read, and very highly regarded by my community.

Knoop, M.; An Old Woman Reading

My ministry took off after one long eternal look that changed my life forever…

It set my feet to dancin’! I know what you are thinking. She’s way too old… she’s probably a grandma… Grandma’s sit on the porch and baby sit. Let the young people do the dancin’ and preachin! Well, I’m living proof you are never too old! There is great debate over my age…. At the time… Is she 84 or 105? If she got married at 12 she could be 107!

BUT SHE DOESN’T LOOK THAT OLD!

old woman dancing.jpeg

But that’s not the only reason I’m a little shocking! I’m quite infamous you know! Why in some churches today I would be considered eccentric, outlandish, out of place and even shameful! Being one of the first New Testament women evangelists! My name went down along with some others like Martha, Mary, oh and that Samaritan woman!

She was almost good as me, just kidding!

But one thing I know that my redeemer was alive, and continues to live…now and forever! No one is going to seal these lips…. I know who and what I saw that day!

You know some say women aren’t supposed to speak out, much less be one of the first to lay eyes on the King of Kings, Lord of Lords and the Creator of the Universe! Why that was shocking! But the truth is everyone was electrified that day.

schilderij-simeon-en-anna.jpeg

When I looked down into those beautiful little eyes, and touched those rosy red cheeks, I knew, yes I knew what, where, whom and why this little baby boy was here! Emmanuel the prince of peace… God was finally with us! Thousands of years of prophecy fulfilled in a little tiny baby boy.

Imagine this! My heart nearly exploded in my chest! Yes, it was mixed with great joy, and great sorrow at the same time. I knew my life purpose had just been fulfilled and my service was nearly over. But, I was ready! Ready to go home, because God had just unleashed every promise He had ever made me right then before my very eyes!

Joseph and Mary brought that baby in and when they entered the temple the atmosphere changed. It was if I had heard a clap of thunder break the sound barrier. Simeon saw, felt and heard it too… and most likely everyone else.

And then I watched and listened in wonder to Simeon. Simeon and I had been waiting, waiting a long time for the consolation of Israel.

simeon.jpeg
Simeon was full of the Holy Ghost and told me God had promised him, like me, that we would not see death before we saw the LORD’s Christ.

It was dedication day at the temple…. And when the young parents handed the baby to Simeon, Simeon began to bless God! Why he could barely contain himself! I thought to myself, well I’m the prophetess, but we were all blessing God! It was his jumping up and down that made me a little nervous….

Simeon was ancient like me, I was afraid he’d drop that baby! But he didn’t but I will never forget his words….

29 Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word:

30 For mine eyes have seen thy salvation,

31 Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people;

32 A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.

33 And Joseph and his mother marveled at those things which were spoken of him.

34 And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against;

35Yea, a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also,) that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.

God himself spoke that day through Simeon and in one look from this Holy Child to us. I saw the Face of God! Praise God! My father Phanuel, that was what his name means Face of God!

babyjesus

My Father, My Redeemer , My Husband was right before us all! What a glorious day!
