Memories

The first week, I was asked to re-do the phone greeting for the company. This was great the first time, but then about the tenth time on the first day….it got a little scary.

But the Lord did not,

For the needy will not always be forgotten, Nor the hope of the afflicted perish forever Psalm 9:18 One day one of the teachers at Challenge Farm came to me for prayer, we prayed a prayer of agreement for her brother who was very very ill. I had forgotten our prayers, but the Lord did…

When the time comes…

Quote: You tell me not to worry about tomorrow But I worry anyway Jason Upton Can you take one minute to stop and pray this week? I will be traveling to Eldoret which is about an hour and a half from Kitale, to speak and minister to a very special group of women on Saturday,…

Building Resilliency

I was honored to do training with all of the staff at Challenge Farm. We had seven groups of ten in each group and we prayed, and learned about one another and the importance of deepening our relationship with Jesus, and taking care of ourselves. By learning how to diffuse triggers, increase the joy of the LORD and avoid vicarious trauma and stress; we can all become better workers and disciples of Jesus. This past staff meeting seventy certificates of completion were received by the staff.

Start Now to Have Now-Faith

Tobias feels God calling him to begin a new work there and I am praying about what Cinderella Released Ministries can do to be part in helping with this new work. As he shared I felt my heart quicken. So, we are praying for God to do a mighty work there. Please join me in prayer for the area of Kabichbich. There is a piece of land with a building, water, and electricity that would be perfect for a church. Please join me in prayer for Kabichbich!

Crackers with Ava…

One of the things I do each morning Monday through Friday is watch Ava while Amy homeschools Jonah and Hudson. She and I usually go outside (so she doesn’t hear her mom’s voice) and spend time walking and looking around. Before school started back we would walk into the heart of activity, and after we just walk around the field or stay within our compound.

Prepared for the Famine

And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance. September 16, 2020 I arrived in Kenya and have been staying at the Challenge Farm in a town called Kitale. Challenge Farm is 10 acre farm, home, church and school. Long before…

Rose & Thorn

Good morning! I thank God for you and pray especially for those of you who are in America today. It’s a day called Black Friday. Some are already planning to get up early in order to get out into any of the stores that might open to offer slashed prices to early bird shoppers in…

Let Me Be Me

We all appear innocent at first, but the truth is we are all sinners and we need the salvation, deliverance and healing of Jesus. Give God the glory, and He will lift you up and protect you.

A Night Guarded by God

“On the night of the first Seder in Egypt, God did not even permit the angel of death into Jewish homes on “business as usual.” On that night, no Jew died of any cause.”

You have no power except…

Jesus answered, “You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above. Therefore the one who handed me over to you is guilty of a greater sin.” John 19:11 In my words, “God’s plan supersedes any plan for evil but does not justify the evil doer’s self serving motives…

Aim to please the LORD…

What might CS Lewis say?

My friend Brenda Burgess, writer and editor and I were discussing the pandemic and how it was affecting the United States and South Africa where she lives. She sent me a quote from C.S. Lewis from an article by Matthew Omolesky that she had read concerning living in this age of pandemic. “What might CS…

A Boy Named Oswald from Sanford, Florida

Growing up in the second grade and going to Southside Elementary school in Sanford, Florida was a big deal. I can still remember my classroom with the high gloss wooden floors and ceiling to floor windows. You could actually stand there and look out at the trees, the squirrels, the bushes that surrounded the front…

Oh No, Little Johnny

All your children will be taught by the LORD, and great will be their peace. Isaiah 54:13 One of my greatest joys in life was raising my children while I was working for Johnny Blue and April Craig. They still own Craig Commercial Realty in Tallahassee, Florida and have raised three wonderful children, Johnny Blue…

The Call of Intercessors

“We know that God does not listen to sinners, but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does his will, God listens to him.” John 9:31 According to my earnest expectation and hope, that I will not be put to shame in anything, but that with all boldness, Christ will even now, as always,…

Major League Courage

“So Gideon took ten of his servants and did as the LORD told him. But because he was afraid of his family and the men of the town, he did it at night rather than the daytime.” Judges 6:27 Gideon was afraid but he did it anyway. It took courage. Lorraine is 98 years old…

Crowns will roll in the dust

“Come down from your thrones and sit in the dust, for your glorious crowns will soon be snatched from your heads.”
