A few trembling words for the ones scrolling here late tonight with a massively torn and broken heart.

You have to know this:
Squeezing hold of the hurt to get out every last deserved drop will not make the pain go away.

Living back through the memory reel of that night again and again won’t make it make sense.

Analyzing all of the should’ves and could’ves and every other self sabotaging thought will not heal the betrayal.

But look, there is a letter on the table.

Sealed by The most redemptive Hand. And it holds an invitation to a better way.

It’s an outstretched Loving Arm with a covenant Promise, not a flemsy one sided contract offering you a measly transaction.

But to accept it requires a laying down of what those hands are clenched so so tight to. Open your hands and let the crumbs that are left from the hypocritical rubble fall to the ground once and for all.

Fix your gaze sweet one – and take hold of His hand. Let him lead you off that sinking ship onto the firmest foundation you’ve ever known. It’s safe there.

Let Him rebuild something pure and new.
Let Him mend what you thought would break you.
Let Him wipe you clean and wash you with water from His Word.

And then repeat after me. “I am worth the fresh start He is offering me.”

Then… THEN take Him at His word and BELIEVE that you WILL breathe deep again.

I love you, and I’m praying for every broken heart tonight.
