Are You a Pioneer? Pioneers leave to pursue a called destination, not knowing the way, the outcome, the dangers, the perils, the losses.
Over 30 years ago, on Palm Sunday, I was standing in praise and worship and the person standing beside me was getting very uncomfortable. At one point he raised their hands (something he never would have done in church). At one point, I almost thought he was making fun of the people who were raising their hands and singing out loudly. Because of his increased edginess he was unable to sit down or stand still. I had seen this edginess before, and usually he would just go out of the service. But this time, just before the close of the last song, he hurriedly pushed me aside and told me to let him out. I thought he was getting ill or leaving. Instead of heading for the back door, he walked fast nearly running to the front of the church. He grabbed one of the men in the front row and asked for prayer.

He spoke three words to me, “Marlene, it is time,” then my knees buckled and I hit the ground in a repentance prayer. Deliverance came from many things I’m not proud nor ashamed to share with others.
