Perhaps you or a loved one has suffered a sudden or tragic loss. Questions similar to these crowd our thoughts….
“What if I don’t survive this health crisis?
What were they thinking when they did that?
Can God forgive me?
Why did he/she leave me?
Where do I go from here?
If God is good why did He allow this?
Jesus shared stories like the one above to those who would listen. Like this woman who had lost one of her valuable coins we all go through times when we suffer great loss, disappointment and hopelessness.
In this story of the lost coin Jesus compares this to a lost soul being found. Jesus says, “That the angels rejoice when ONE SINNER repents.”
God is not waiting to catch us in doing wrong, His heart is for us to be found. His love, forgiveness and eternal life is available not only for the abused, broken and hurting, but for even the worst of sinners, those who are abusers, addicts, homeless, and mentally ill. Repentance is about returning to our Creator.
There is not one soul that God does not count as treasure and of great worth.
Jesus came as Immanuel – God is with us! This is what the celebration of Christmas is all about! If He is for us, who can be against us?
Simeon and Anna looked down into the face of God…and realized they were looking at the redeemer and deliverer of Israel. They saw the greatest treasure ever given to mankind! God came to earth as a baby and with a plan to redeem mankind!
When we realize how much God loves us, that He created us and is alive and wants to build a relationship with us, we can accept His gift of salvation, deliverance and healing with an open heart and mind.
Like Simeon, Anna and many others we will be ready to meet Him and can die in peace and look forward to the restoration of God’s Kingdom and the freedom of living forever. Jesus is Lord of Lords and King of Kings and His Kingdom will reign and go on forever.
The crisis, trauma and sorrows of this life are only temporary afflictions and will truly be wiped away, forever when we choose to accept Jesus as our redeemer.
I recently included a testimony in my newsletter from Patricia Winchester who shared with me, “I don’t ask God Why, I say Why Not Me?” She recently shared her personal trial and testimony at her church! My Enews included the entire sermon…but, for just Patricia’s testimony Click Here. It is a message of HOPE and is very worth sharing with those who are in a battle of any kind and of course those who have never received the hope of an eternal home with Jesus Christ.
My good friend Barbara Weeks Spayd packed her bags and went home to be with the Lord, this past May. Her church Lifepoint prepared a wedding banquet as a celebration of her life. Barbara taught on becoming the Bride of Christ and was passionate about this topic.
So thankful for mom’s church family at Life Point – the memorial service was set up like a wedding banquet – so appropriate for a woman who was so in love with her Bridegroom – absolutely sure she would have LOVED it 😊. Jeanine Post
I was able to spend time with her just before I left last November for Alaska. Our last meeting together she prayed over me, and said in her always affirming voice… You WILL finish your race strong!
A friend wrote about her memorial service…
Went to the beautiful celebration of life for this dear friend this morning. As usual, I left feeling better than when I went in. It was always the case when being with Barbara. I’m so thankful she was in my life. I’m also a little jealous that she gets to be in heaven right now. Also thankful that we will see her again. Can’t wait.
Her last trip to Israel she began a blog which may be viewed here.
Barbara and I met whenever we could when she was home from Israel. She would email or write to me over the span of over two decades and was always a source of strength, encouragement and spiritual mother.

I pray for you regularly because I know you are so talented and have a great anointing on your life and destiny arranged by God for you before the foundation of the world.
I can only tell you what I am doing, and Richard confirmed this morning that I am right on.
Devour the Word Marlene, I read all of the Book of Revelation yesterday and Hebrews this morning. I don’t ever remember devouring the Word like I am this last few weeks.
Just read until God gives you a Rhema Word and then cling to that Word for dear life. Jesus is the Word and He is our Bread, the Bread of Life.
What’s happening is that our faith is being stretched like never before. We are no longer in the boat and what that means to me is that if He doesn’t rescue us, we’re lost. I’ve been in such pain with my leg this week, but remember Moses was on the backside of the desert when God called him to deliver His chosen people.
Richard had a word this morning that we can only go on as high a mountain as we have been prepared for through our testings and experiences.
And you my dear friend have had more than your share of problems.
Command that depression to get off you right now. You have the authority. Encourage yourself in the Lord and review every promise He has given you. I pray for a witty invention for you. This is a trial of your faith, but because Jesus is interceding for you you will find your destiny.
This morning he said, “We can call our future in right now because God has already finished it.” So I say to you, “NO MORE DELAYS. NO MORE DETOURS. YOU ARE GOING INTO YOUR PROMISED LAND!”
Talk to you soon.
A third woman God brought my way almost thirty years ago is Naomi Moore. She has been praying for me and my sons ever since. We were able to sit, laught and share God’s goodness together! You can listen to a special testimony about a phone that was dead and came to life…just in the nick of time! I’ve titled it The Resurrected Phone!
These are just three amazing women God has put in my life that I would like to honor and share with you today!
There so many men and women in my life who are so very special to me. I am reminded each day how we all need one another, and how important it is to stay connected with those God brings our way!
Looking forward to us all finishing the race well!
Searching for God’s Treasures,
from ashes to beauty…
Cinderella Released for such a time as this!
“For my groaning comes at the sight of my food, And my cries pour out like water.”
Which comes first, indigestion or groaning? The truth is that your health can be ruined because of the way stress, crisis and trauma is handled in your life. It is important that you recognize the early signs and warnings that indigestion can bring.
Learning to develop an “attitude of gratitude” even when things aren’t going particularly the best, will serve you well in the long run. Also, being thankful for what God has blessed you with is very important. Forgiveness, self-control, thankfulness and plain old perseverance can help you through the times of hardship, testing and trials. This will keep your digestive system healthy and intact.
No better lesson can we learn from Paul, as he was facing hardships all the day long.
“And now, compelled by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there.23 I only know that in every city the Holy Spirit warns me that prison and hardships are facing me.24 However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.” Acts 20:22-24

Your love flows down like honey. It sticks to the broken parts and stays until I am able to heal. It flows freely to give to others as I am able to release all the parts that are stuck. It soothes as salve and becomes the healing balm. Your banner over us is love.
The only way to over come the enemy of our soul is through the King of Glory. Who is the King of Glory? King David tells us in Psalm 24.
Of David. A psalm.
1 The earth is the Lord’s,(A) and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it;(B) 2 for he founded it on the seas and established it on the waters.(C)
3 Who may ascend the mountain(D) of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place?(E) 4 The one who has clean hands(F) and a pure heart,(G) who does not trust in an idol(H) or swear by a false god.[a]
5 They will receive blessing(I) from the Lord and vindication(J) from God their Savior. 6 Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face,(K) God of Jacob.[b][c]
7 Lift up your heads, you gates;(L) be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King(M) of glory(N) may come in.(O) 8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty,(P) the Lord mighty in battle.(Q) 9 Lift up your heads, you gates; lift them up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. 10 Who is he, this King of glory? The Lord Almighty(R)— he is the King of glory.
We must invite Him in. When He comes in then all of the enemies of our soul must flee for they are unable to stand in His presence. Be… Just Be…. The Lord showed me a hive of bees….
The bees occupy the air. They move together. They produce honey.
They operate under the direction of their ruler. They stick together. Their work produces sweetness. The Lord wants us to trust in Him. He will direct our path. Be still and know that He is God.
King James Version (KJV)
27 And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.
God will sustain us because of His Word. Not because of what we do, or because of who I am, but because it is His Word. His Word is steadfast, unmovable and never changes. He does what He promises. We have to position ourselves to stand under the flow of His Word…His Healing Flow… Trust in God’s Word and the feeling and healing will come. His Glory… will fall…. Be…..Just Be….Be ready to stand underneath the flow….
“The test of success is not what you do when you are on top. Success is how high you bounce when you hit bottom.” -General George S. Patton
“bounce /bouns/ verb – to cause to bound and rebound — to spring back in a lively manner…”
To “bounce” means the ability to fight through an issue, to be resilient, to be able to stabilize after adversity. To recover — and to thrive.
In 2009 Rick Hoyt completed the Boston Marathon. This race was officially his 1000th race. Since 1977, Rick has competed in marathons, duathlons, and triathlons (6 of them being Ironman competitions). In 1992 Rick “ran” 3,735 miles in 45 days. Coast-to-coast.
Rick was born in 1962 to Dick and Judy Hoyt. As a result of oxygen deprivation to Rick’s brain at the time of his birth, Rick was diagnosed as aspastic quadriplegic with cerebral palsy. He would never walk or communicate as we do. He would never be “normal”. His life would be lived in a wheelchair.
In 1977, through the use of a special computer, Rick “told” his father that he wanted to participate in a 5-mile benefit run for a Lacrosse player who had been paralyzed in an accident. Not being a long-distance runner, Dick agreed to push Rick in his wheelchair. They finished all 5 miles, coming in next to last. “Team Hoyt” rose up from seemingly insurmountable odds and adversity. That’s “Bounce”!
When life simply isn’t fair. Filled with sickness… debt… or abandonment…
When the walls are pressing in… and you don’t even know your own name.
When you feel like you can’t breathe — or see. And there is absolutely nothing you can do.
When life isn’t the way it is supposed to be…
He understands. The writer of Hebrews reminds us that “…we do not have a high priest (Jesus the Son of God) who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses(frailty — feebleness — sickness — infirmities — troubles), but one who in every respect has been tempted (the trying and testing of our faith, virtue and character)as we are …” (Hebrews 4:14 ESV) He’s been there. He goes before you… and with you!
He will strengthen you. “And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace… will Himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.” (1Peter 5:10 ESV)
Put the devil on notice in your life… It’s time to get your dreams back… Get your family back… Get your marriage back… Get your anointing back… Get your strength back… Get your step back… Get your confidence back… Get your fight back!
Claim the life changing principle in Genesis 50:20. What satan, or even other people in your life, meant for evil, God can turn it for your good.
“You are from God and have overcome them, for He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” (1 John 4:4 ESV)
