I Have an Inheritance!

queen

I am the daughter of a King! I have an inheritance!

Today I read about Job’s daughters….Three women who became very wealthy land and livestock owners — ranchers!

Job 42 says, “The Lord blessed the latter part of Job’s life more than the former part. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen and a thousand donkeys. 13 And he also had seven sons and three daughters. 14 The first daughter he named Jemimah. (In Hebrew the meaning of the name Jemimah is: Little dove.),

Hence, for a meaning of the name Jemimah, Jones’ Dictionary of Old Testament Proper Names, NOBSE Study Bible Name List and even BDB Theological Dictionary read Dove (yet BDB, states “perhaps” and Jones “as some conjecture”).

To a Hebrew audience, however, the name Jemimah doesn’t look at all like the word for dove — which is יונה (yona), the source of the name Jonah — but much rather like the word for sea, which isמימ (mayim). The name Jemimah would form from using this word as verb (which isn’t done in Scriptures but in the name-arena, anything goes), and making it feminine: She Who Acts Like The Sea.

Jones adds that the most ancient translations of the Bible, namely the Septuagint and the Vulgate, derive the name Jemimah from the noun יום (yom), meaning a day. The derived adverb יומם (yomam) means by day, or during daylight (Numbers 10:34, Job 24:16, Jeremiah 15:9). That would give the name Jemimah the pleasing meaning of Lady Daylight.

the second Keziah (In Hebrew the meaning of the name Keziah is: Cassia; sweet-scented spice and was popular with the Puritans.),

The verb קצע (qasa’ I) means to scrape or scrape off. It’s used only once in the Bible, in Leviticus 14:41. This verb comes with two derivatives:

  • The feminine noun קציעה (qesi’a), meaning cassia, a kind of sweet smelling cinnamon powder, harvested by scraping it off from trees. This word too occurs just once in the Bible, in Psalm 45:8. It is also identical to the name Keziah.
  • The noun מקצעה (maqsu’a) denotes a scraping tool (Isaiah 44:13).

and the third Keren-Happuch.

The verb קרן (qrn) is a bit of a mystery. It occurs in several Semitic languages and it always has to do with horns or having horns. In Hebrew, curiously enough, it may also mean to shine or be radiant. Although there’s an obvious imaginary overlap between being radiant and having horns, in cognate languages this root only means to have horns. But we know that the Hebrews used this verb in the meaning of to shine because it was applied to Moses when he came down the mountain after his meeting with God (Exodus 34:29). The Vulgate had Moses grow horns in this passage, and that’s why Michelangelo’s famous statue of Moses shows him with horns.

This verb comes with a noun, namely קרן (qeren), meaning horn, and that’s peculiar too. Why is there a noun that means horn, and not a noun that means ray? (Although, Habakkuk 3:4 speaks of rays (probably not horns) that emanate from the Lord’s hand.)

HAW Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament thinks that the verb was derived of the noun, while BDB Theological Dictionary says that the verb and the noun were both derived of an even more fundamental root, but the meaning of this most fundamental root is even more obscure.

A similar duplicity may exist in the verb צוץ (sus), which means to bloom or to shine.

Job 42:15 says, “Nowhere in all the land were there found women as beautiful as Job’s daughters, and their father granted them an inheritance along with their brothers.”

There have been times in my life that I’ve been treated as if I’m “not good enough” because I was a woman.  The enemy has said, You’ve lost everything more than once because you are a woman. This is the reason you are alone.  There is no one to help you, and you will never be good enough ever… Have you ever felt this way?

God released me from these lies. He’s told me I have an inheritance that doesn’t come from man or by being a man!

Job 1:1 In the land of Uz there lived a man whose name was Job. This man was blameless and upright; he feared God and shunned evil. He had seven sons and three daughters, and he owned seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen and five hundred donkeys, and had a large number of servants. He was the greatest man among all the people of the East.

First of all Job was a MAN and lost everything.  He was blameless, upright and loved God. His friends doubted him when he was down and didn’t look at Job’s character, they looked at what he had lost…. They were wrong in their thinking toward Job and in their actions. In the end God called them to repentance and told them to make a sacrifice in Job’s presence and then told them to have Job pray for them.  Of course Job did, they were his friends.  Job’s character hadn’t changed even though his wealth and status had, or so everyone thought! When Job prayed his friends were restored in the eyes of God and Job was given double!

Secondly, God also restored Job’s family. He gave him seven more sons and three daughters. We read above about how Job named his daughters. Job lived 140 years after their birth. He also gave his daughters an inheritance along with their brothers.  They were also the most beautiful women in the land.

God is saying he loves us, we are given light and life through him to be a sweet smelling fragrance to bloom and shine in and through Him who has given us life!  We have been given an inheritance, the same as our brothers and sisters in Christ…that is never-ending, all sufficient and a completely perfect gift from our Father in heaven!

A Japanese Christmas Present To You

by Cinderella Released …from ashes to beauty

Image

A Christmas present to you.  And God spoke, “Light” and there was light.  God then separated the day and night.  He spoke into existence the plants, trees and everything came into being.  Then the Bible says, God reached down and with His own two hands, formed man and woman and then breathed His breath into their beings.  He made mankind and gave them dominion over everything.

In Job Chapter 38, God asks Job a series of questions and then gives Job the answers:

Pull yourself together, Job! Up on your feet! Stand tall!  I have some questions for you, and I want some straight answers.  Where were you when I created the earth?  Tell me, since you know so much!  Who decided on its’ size?  Certainly you know that!  Who came up with the blueprints and measurements?  How was the foundation poured, and who set the cornerstone, while the morning stars sang in chorus and all the angels shouted praise?  And who took charge of the ocean when it gushed forth like a baby from the womb?  That was me!  I wrapped it in soft clouds, and tucked it in safely at night.

In Japan the art of gift giving is very precious.  You hold your gift very carefully in two hands and bow when you give someone a gift.  You wrap it very carefully as to protect and provide surprise to the receiver.

Mary, the mother of Jesus was given the honor of presenting God’s present to the world, His son Jesus who was carefully wrapped in swaddling clothes, placed in a box we call a manger and presented to the world.   This precious gift grew into whom we know as King Jesus!

My King

My King was born King; the Bible says He’s the seven way King.
He’s the King of the Jews – that’s a racial King
He’s the King of Israel – that’s a national King
He’s the King of righteousness, He’s the King of the ages,
He’s the King of heaven, He’s the King of glory,
He’s the King of Kings and He is the Lord of Lords,
Now that’s MY KING.

Well, I wonder if you know Him, do you know Him?
Don’t try to mislead me – do you know MY KING?
David said, “The heavens declare the glory of God
and the firmament shows His handiwork.”

MY KING is the only one, whom there is no means of measurement
which can define His limitless love.
No far seeing telescope can bring into visibility the coastline
of His shore less supplies.
No barriers can hinder Him from pouring out His blessing.
He’s enduringly strong, He’s entirely sincere, He’s eternally steadfast,
He’s immortally graceful, imperially powerful and impartially merciful.
That’s MY KING!

He’s God’s Son.  He’s the sinner’s Savior.
He’s the centerpiece of civilization, He stands alone in Himself.
He’s awesome, unique, unparalleled – He’s unprecedented.
He’s the miracle of the age.  He’s the superlative of
everything good that you choose to call Him.
He is the only one able to supply all of our needs simultaneously.

He supplies strength for the weak.
He’s available for the tempted and the tried.
He sympathizes and He saves.  He for guards and He guides.
He heals the sick.  He cleanses lepers. He forgives sinners.
He discharges debtors.  He delivers the captives.  He defends the feeble.
He blesses the young.  He serves the unfortunate.  He regards the aged.
He rewards the diligent and He beautifies the meek.
Do you know HIM?

Well, MY KING is the King of knowledge, He’s the wellspring of wisdom.
He’s the doorway of deliverance.  He’s the pathway of peace.  He’s the roadway
of righteousness.  He’s the highway of holiness.  He’s the gateway of glory.
He’s the Master of the mighty.  He’s the Captain of the conquerors.
He’s the Head of the heroes, and He’s the Leader of the legislators.
He’s the Overseer of the over comers.  He’s the Governor of governors.
He’s the Prince of princes, He’s the King of kings, and He’s the Lord of lords.
That’s MY KING!

His office is manifold and His promises are sure.  His light is matchless.
His goodness is limitless.  His mercy is everlasting and His love never changes.
His Word is enough. His grace is sufficient.  His reign is righteous.
His yoke is easy and His burden is light.
Well, I wish I could describe Him to you, but He’s indescribable!
He’s incomprehensible, invincible and irresistible.

I’m trying to tell you the heaven of heavens can not contain Him,
let alone a man explain Him!
You can’t get Him out of your mind.   You can’t get Him off of your hands.
You can’t outlive Him and you can’t live without Him.
Well, the Pharisees couldn’t stand Him, but they found out they couldn’t stop Him.
Pilot couldn’t find any fault in Him.  The witnesses couldn’t get their
testimonies to agree and Herod couldn’t kill Him.
Death couldn’t handle Him and the grave couldn’t hold Him.
That’s MY KING!

When a man and a woman get married, the groom picks up the bride,
with both hands, and carries her across the threshold of their home.
This is first and indication of the two becoming one and
second a sign of the man’s provision, protection and adoration for his bride.

The bride simply has to surrender and allow the husband to lift her up
and carry her across the divide.
The King of kings wants to pick you up with His mighty hands and carry
you across the universe!

Dying Bees, GMO Seeds and Gideon – Mighty Man of Valor

I was reading in Judges about Gideon and how the Israelites had been taken over by their enemies. They had turned away from God and were following after false gods. God removed His protection and allowed their land to be taken over by the Midianites. This tribe came in stripped their land bare, took the cattle, belongings, everything. The Midianites were descendents of Abraham and Keturah, Abraham’s second wife.

While I was reading, I felt a strong urge to look up an article about GMO seeds. If you aren’t aware of what is happening to our wheat and corn crops, you might want to take a look sometime.

I quickly discovered not only is wheat, corn and other crops being dramatically affected but other things such as bees are also. They are dying and many are worried about the affects GMO seeds are really going to have on our nation’s food supply.. It seems the seeds are now destroying the bees which pollinate the crops. Switching back to regular seeds also has become an issue because you can’t seem to get “real seeds” anymore.

This reminded me of another scripture in Exodus about how God used bees or hornets to drive out the enemy when the people were faithful.
Exodus 23:28,

And I will send hornets before you, which shall drive out the Hivites, the Canaanites, and the Hittites from before you.

The story about the Israelites and the Mididianites goes on to say they had reduced Israel to starvation and “then the people called upon the Lord.”

I don’t know about you, but I seem to have a habit of waiting till I’m almost dead before crying out!

The Word of the Lord came to me, Don’t wait until you are almost destroyed to call on God first in every situation.

After the people cried out, the Lord began to search for someone (a leader) who would bring the people out of bondage. He spied Gideon – a man of honor and valor.

Gideon came out and sat under the oak tree where the angel of the Lord came to talk with him, he had been threshing wheat down in a wine press.

I’ve heard some preachers describe Gideon as this frail coward of a man. How I see it, all the crops, cattle and possessions had been looted by the Midianites and Gideon somehow found a way to find wheat, get it down into a wine press, and thresh it there. There was no wind to easily carry the chaff away. This couldn’t have been an easy process.

Gideon wasn’t sitting down or complaining. He was doing something to feed his family. Gideon also makes certain who he is talking to was really from God. (Like Gideon, we need to make certain we are hearing from God before we make decisions.) Gideon had brought food out to the messenger (angel of God) and placed it on a rock, it was consumed by fire. Gideon built and altar there and named it

THE LORD IS PEACE

Whatever you are going through, turn first to the Lord, Place your heart, soul and will on the rock of Jesus Christ and He will be THE LORD OF PEACE in your circumstances.

The Lord says to Gideon in verse 18,”I will be with you. And you will destroy the Midianites as if you were fighting against one man.”

Gideon was still going to have to go to battle with the Midianites but God was with him.

Our nation, individual lives are under attack by the enemy, we must fight for our beliefs, our country, our families, but through Christ we can be victorious!

Get a Life – Not Just A Job

Did you start your own business to have the freedom of being your own boss? Maybe you wanted to provide jobs for others. Did you fantasize about the lifestyle you would have as an entrepreneur?

And what has happened since? Maybe you provide a good living for yourself and your employees, but you work harder and longer than in any job you’ve ever had. Perhaps you feel trapped under the weight of being a “business owner.”

You don’t have to feel that way. You can provide money for yourself, jobs for others, and still have the freedom you hoped for. You just need to know how.

How do you turn your small business into more than just a job?

First, go to work on you business rather than in it.

Think of your business as something apart from yourself, as a world of its own, as a product of your efforts, as a machine designed to fulfill a very specific need, as a mechanism for giving you more life, as a system of interconnecting parts, as something created to satisfy your consumers’ needs, as a solution to somebody else’s problem.

Then ask yourself the following questions:

  1. How can I get my business to work, but without me?
  2. How can I get my people to work, but without my constant interference?
  3. How can I systematize my business in such a way that it could be replicated 5,000 times, so the 5,000th unit would run as smoothly as the first?
  4. How can I own my business, and still be free of it?
  5. How can I spend my time doing the work I love to do rather than the work I have to do?

Michael E Gerber, michael gerber, awakening the entrepreneur within, get a life not a job

If you ask yourself these questions, you’ll eventually come face-to-face with the real problem: that you don’t know the answers!

Until you change your perspective about what a business is and how one works, you will never have the answers. The most successful small businesses are built on a repeatable system that others can easily follow. A turn-key system.

The best way to systematize your business is to first do each job yourself. Find the best or preferred way to do each task, and create a system for doing it that way that is easy to follow. Repeat this process for every function of your business until every part is systematized.

Then create a succinct operations manual that is detailed and easy to understand. The goal is that any new person can step into your company, and be up-to-speed very quickly after reading this operations manual.

Once you have your business systematized, you should be able to step back and let your company function the way it is supposed to. Your job, as the business owner, will be to watch it grow.
