What is next, Lord?

What is next Lord

At the end of 2016, the Lord gave me a vision, “The Tsunami Is Coming. Where Will You Be and What Will You Be Doing?” At that time, I had no idea where I would be going and what I would be doing. You can read this on my blog at  The Coming Tsunami.

colt edited 1985

In 1985 the Lord came into my office and spoke audibly to me at the moment my one-year-old had stopped breathing and turned completely blue. He spoke three words to me, “Marlene, it is time,” then my knees buckled and I hit the ground in a repentance prayer. Deliverance came from many things I’m not proud nor ashamed to share with others.

Six years later, God truly rescued me from things that only He and I know. I was called to serve and share the Gospel with the lost, broken, and hurting; and since then, I have been committed to this. Seasons of visible fruitfulness have come and gone over the years, and the Lord is continuing to teach me that walking by faith doesn’t always mean that we will see the impact we are making or that we won’t have times where the enemy has appeared to have won the battle, at least in our minds.

My pastor recently preached on “Listening.” Of course, my ears perked up because I had just recently read this quote by Beth Moore in her book, The Quest, An Excursion Toward Intimacy with God:

To unplugged ears, the New Testament testifies with deafening volume to the role of adversity and the demand for endurance in the lives of disciples on their sure way to happily ever after. Sometimes God Himself sets up an obstacle course to develop and test the runner’s discipline, stamina, and agility. With His eye around every blind curve in our road ahead, He seeks “to supply what is lacking in (our) faith” (1 Thessalonians 3:10, ESV), so we can run triumphantly.

Satan also attends to our marathon with unanticipated patience, biding his time, studying our patterns and weaknesses. He tempts runners nearby to go rogue and trip us.

I have been so humbled by even the hard places the Lord has allowed me to walk through because now that I am older, I can see clearly the miracles He has done over and over again. He is a supernatural God, and He wants us to be supernatural people.

I don’t have any regrets for the choice I made to choose a Christ-centered life.

In 2013 I joined Globe International in Pensacola, Florida, and started working as administrative support for Missionary Sandy Britnell in the Humanitarian Aid & Child Sponsorship Department. I was blessed to be part of the Globe team, working alongside and getting to know so many wonderful mission minded people. I was also able to take my first overseas missions trips to visit children in crisis and trauma Children of Destiny in Nicaragua, Central America, and Challenge Farm in Kenya, Africa.

In 2016 I felt it was time for me to make a change to go from being a support person in order to pursue full-time ministry/missionary work. I’ve always had a ministry, but the Lord reminded me this latter season would be different. In the Tsunami Vision in 2016, the Lord spoke very clearly, “Marlene, your talents aren’t any good if they are buried, or you are not using them for My purpose and plan. In order to be fully satisfied, you must be willing to be obedient to My leading.”

My passion has always been evangelism and missions work, which includes pastoral care; teaching; and praying for the sick, wounded, and afflicted, particularly women. I’m not your typical foreign field missionary and am more like the discipleship and missionary worker you read about in the New Testament. For the past year, my work was in Alaska working with church leadership, pastors, and students from many different cultural backgrounds, and traumatic situations. There were times I felt shipwrecked, like Paul, but I would not trade the past year for anything! And I do plan to return as the Lord leads.

For the first time in my life since I was a child, I am not working a full-time job. I rely totally on the Lord and others’ support to pay for my travel and ministry expenses. This has been difficult because shifting from being self-sufficient to totally God sufficient is weighty. I have to constantly remind myself to stop looking at the job advertisements.

“Therefore, we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God” (Hebrews 12:1-2, ASV).

And so I’ve asked God the question, “What is next, Lord?” As this is probably my last season of life that I am entering, I feel led to look for a place to live and study. When I am there, I will, equip, train, and encourage those He sends my way; and from there I will go to the places where He leads, taking others with me as I go.

There is no lack of crisis and trauma in the world, and plenty of disasters. So, with whatever time, I have left on this earth, I feel it is critical in this season for all of us to ask God the question, “Where do I go from here?” Then to GO!

Walking by total faith and seeking God’s direction in this hour of trouble is not easy for anyone.

follow the narrow road

Being alone at times for me is difficult. If you have a group of women or young people who need to be prayed for and encouraged, I would love to come and speak to them.

I also believe there are many individuals who are discouraged, (especially during the holidays and the traumatic times we are currently experiencing). I want to encourage you to draw near to the Lord, get back into the battle, and to fulfill what the Lord created you to do! If this is you, I would love to hear from you, so I can add you to my vision board and pray for you! My cell is (850)-661-6104. My email is CinderellaReleased@gmail.com.

Again, please consider helping by praying or asking the Lord how you can support me by fasting, praying, or giving financially. Please consider this ministry for your end of the year giving, and/or asking your company or business to consider this ministry as one of your charitable organizations to support in 2018.

Whatever you do, please do it as unto the Lord, and may He get the glory! He has done such great things in our lives.

Searching for God’s treasure,

Marlene

About Big Lake

Many residents of Big Lake commute to work in Anchorage, 60 miles to the south, but choose to live in Big Lake for its limitless recreation opportunities and the views of Mount Susitna, Denali and the Talkeetna Mountains.

Things to do

Not surprisingly, recreation in the area centers around the lake, and it is indeed big, with 67 miles of shoreline. Popular activities include swimming, camping, boating, fishing, jet skiing and tour boat rides in the summer; in the winter, snowmobile competitions, dog mushing, ice fishing and cross-country skiing dominate the lake’s frozen surface.

Big Lake North State Recreation Site is located on the lake and has overnight parking spaces, walk-in tent sites, picnic area, shelters and an outstanding view of Denali on a clear day. Also nearby is Fish Creek Park, a popular day-use area with a salmon spawning observation deck; Big Lake South State Recreation Site with campsites and a boat launch on the lake; and Rocky Lake State Recreation Site with camping on a lake closed to jet skis, jet boats and air boats.

Don’t Sweep Things Under the Rug! Keep a Just Balance… in the Lord

broom2

I woke up the other morning and The Lord said: Don’t Sweep Things Under the Rug – Keep a Just Balance in Me

My husband Gary and I at the time owned several sign companies in Central Florida and one day I walked out into the shop and saw the men working in the sheet metal department, bending metal and putting together the frames for the electrical signs we built.  They used a rivet gun with silver rivets that we would buy by the pound.  They weren’t cheap.  I noticed they would grab a handful putting them in their work aprons and as they did this, some would fall out on the ground.

We also had bought some nice rubber mats for the concrete floors and by the end of the day, when it was time to clean up the shop, I would walk out and noticed that instead of sweeping up the rivets that had fallen to the ground and putting them back in the box to be used later, they would either wind up in the trash or under the rug!

It didn’t take me and my calculating mind to go out, gather the rivets out of the trash, weigh them and figure out approximately $5.00 per day, 5 to 6 days a week were getting thrown out…  Well, the best I can say is I told my husband and we figured out a way to stop this from happening!  Go figure!

We also looked at the rubber mats and noticed that the rivets that were swept under the rug were eating into the rubber mats, and destroying those pretty quickly.

Of course we both realized sometimes some loss was bound to happen in this type of industry, but we explained to our employees that this was effecting our bottom line, and ultimately theirs in the way of bonus checks and wage increases.  We kept an open door policy, in order to keep a just balance between those employees God had entrusted to us.

Honest scales and balances belong to the LORD; all the weights in the bag are of his making. Proverbs 16:11

The Lord showed me that as an employer it was my job and duty to correct my employees with dignity and honor, and not to deal harshly with them, but as God himself has dealt with me when I have been wasteful, thoughtful and remiss in my duties as his daughter.

He also showed me that no one gets away with anything…. and all the weights in the bag are of his making.  Our lives, our vocations, our ministries, even our private and personal lives will be accountable to God and he has established this principle in the earth.  We don’t have to worry when companies, individuals, etc. are being thoughtless, or even doing something that is completely dishonest as the article below describes.

The picture posted above was about the caption below:

February 8, 2015 Caption under Investorshub.com

Another nice catch NYBob ! – “Germans arrested Victoria Nuland’s assistant, who in addition, is an employee of Vanguard Corporation, with almost a billion of high quality fake dollars, printed by Vanguard Corporation. This employee (is a member of the State Department), and now, during his interrogations, he “put under bus” Vanguard Corporation with all of its companies and “putting under bus” Nuland, McCain, Kerry, Brennan and others…”

The fallout from this corruption is immeasurable. Wonder if they will be able to sweep it under the rug as well.

Blessings,

Are You Sleeping Well These Nights? Triggered into Trouble…

Chocolate SpoonIt is the glory of God to conceal a matter; to search out a matter is the glory of kings. Proverbs 25:2

Triggered My Own Trouble – Do What is Right in The Lord…Always!

Have you ever had a disturbing dream and then asked God, “What was that about?” I have!

In my dream I was staying in a resort and waiting for my son and a friend to arrive.  I got up early and went down to the restaurant and walked past the bakery cabinet.  After a few minutes a waitress who had been talking on her cell phone came over to take my order.  I ordered coffee but forgot to order the chocolate spoon that I had seen in the bakery case.

Immediately after she walked away from my table she got another phone call and went over in the corner to take it.  Of course I was trying to get her attention to order my spoon, but she was intent on her call.  I was enraged!  She wasn’t even making an attempt to get my coffee! I thought, “Well I will show her!”  So I got up to walk over to the bakery case myself and told one of the other workers there about my service.  Wrong thing to do.  The Lord showed me later, this is where I was triggered into trouble!  The next thing I knew I had people in costumes, they were all of the other employees working at this resort who surrounded me in a mob like approach.

I remember running to the front desk for help crying profusely.  The gal behind the desk comes around and joins the mob!  So, I ran back to my room to wait for my son and slammed and locked the door!  While this door shut another back door opened and a family reunion entered and unreasonably everyone in the party had to through my room to get to the conference room that was on the other side.  Again, “I couldn’t believe I was being so imposed upon!”  My anger escalated and I went downstairs and demanded to see the manager.  Pleading my case, I had decided to calm down and explain my situation and come to find out… the waitress had received a call about a family member who had been in an accident.  The manager had been called in to assist and give her some money to get home on.

Things are not always what they appear to be.

It is God’s privilege to conceal things and the king’s privilege to discover them. Proverbs 25:2

If I had been more sensitive to God’s Spirit instead of satisfying my own flesh, I may have been able to minister to this young woman rather than trigger a riot!

In the book of Daniel we read about a king and his troubling dream.

1Now in the second year of the reign of Nebuchadnezzar, Nebuchadnezzar had dreams; and his spirit was troubled and his sleep left him. 2Then the king gave orders to call in the magicians, the conjurers, the sorcerers and the Chaldeans to tell the king his dreams. So they came in and stood before the king. 3The king said to them, “I had a dream and my spirit is anxious to understand the dream.”

He called all of the astrologers, magicians in and they all said tell us the dream. The king was so disturbed by the dream he said, “If you don’t tell me the meaning of this dream I will have you cut into pieces and your houses turned to rubble. Again the magicians and astrologers said, “Tell us your dream and we will interpret it. Once the king told them….They all exclaimed, “No one can tell you that dream, not anyone in the kingdom!”

12 This made the king so angry and furious that he ordered the execution of all the wise men of Babylon. 13 So the decree was issued to put the wise men to death, and men were sent to look for Daniel and his friends to put them to death.

So the king’s executioner went out and came to Daniel and his friends.  Daniel was not even twenty years old yet.  He was very young and very wise.  God had anointed him for such a time as this.

14 When Arioch, the commander of the king’s guard, had gone out to put to death the wise men of Babylon, Daniel spoke to him with wisdom and tact. 15 He asked the king’s officer, “Why did the king issue such a harsh decree?” Arioch then explained the matter to Daniel. 16 At this, Daniel went in to the king and asked for time, so that he might interpret the dream for him.

17 Then Daniel returned to his house and explained the matter to his friends Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah. 18 He urged them to plead for mercy from the God of heaven concerning this mystery, so that he and his friends might not be executed with the rest of the wise men of Babylon. 19 During the night the mystery was revealed to Daniel in a vision. Then Daniel praised the God of heaven 20 and said:

“Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever;
    wisdom and power are his.
21 He changes times and seasons;
he deposes kings and raises up others.
He gives wisdom to the wise
    and knowledge to the discerning.
22 He reveals deep and hidden things;
he knows what lies in darkness,
    and light dwells with him.
23 I thank and praise you, God of my ancestors:
You have given me wisdom and power,
you have made known to me what we asked of you,
you have made known to us the dream of the king.”

Prayer changes things.  In my dream I wasn’t willing to be patient and wait or to search out a matter.  I was impatient.  I triggered my own trouble!

Migration is within us – will we choose life or death?

migration

I don’t know about you but whenever I get stressed and don’t know what to do… I feel a migration movement coming on.  What I mean is I want to get up from where I am at and move to another place.  You’ve heard the grass is greener on the other side?  I’ve often wondered if this is attached to migration.  In the case of passing from this life to the next.  I do believe the grass is definitely greener on the other side, at least for me.

Whenever the Lord allows me to go back to Kenya my dream is to travel all around the perimeter of Kenya  and to see the great migration that occurs yearly.  It is a natural instinct for literally millions of animals who migrate from Kenya to Tanzania.  About Travel says,

The great annual migration of millions of zebra, wildebeest (gnu) and other antelope in East Africa tops almost every list of safari experiences. When you plan your trip, you’ll need information about the annual migration, the best times to witness this wildlife spectacle, where to stay, and when to see it in Kenya and Tanzania.

The Migration

Each year around 1.5 million wildebeest and 300,000 zebra (along with other antelope) gather up their young and start their long trek from Tanzania’s Serengeti Plains, further north to Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve. They go in search of food and water. Their journey runs in a clockwise circle and the animals cover a distance of around 1800 miles. It’s a tough journey, and every year an estimated 250,000 wildebeest don’t make it.

One of the most spectacular sights of the migration is when the herds gather to cross the Grumeti River (Tanzania) and the Mara River (Kenya) from July through September.

Psalm 23 reminds me of this distinct urge and how David must have felt when he was tending his flock and they had this sudden urge to migrate!  When are we comfortable with passing from one dimension into the other.  In David’s case he was hunted, betrayed, and pursued by his enemies in an attempt to keep him from his inheritance.  This was a position and place to which he had not yet arrived, yet I believe deep within him the urge to continue through trauma, stress and trials moved him to not give up and to pursue the unknown.  I wonder if he was choosing life here, and wanting what only death could bring… a migration to the other side where rest, peace and eternity reigns supreme.

Psalm 23

A psalm of David.

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
    he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
    for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk
    through the darkest valley,[a]
I will fear no evil,
    for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
    they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
    my cup overflows.
Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
    forever.

The Brook, Valley and River of Kidron (Cedron)

1 Kings 2:371599 Geneva Bible (GNV)

37 For that day that thou goest out, and passest over the river of Kidron, know assuredly, that thou shalt die the death: thy blood shall be upon thine own head.

Nehemiah 2:151599 Geneva Bible (GNV)

15 Then went I up in the night by the brook, and viewed the wall, and turned back, and coming back, I entered by the gate of the valley, and returned.

Jeremiah 31:401599 Geneva Bible (GNV)

40 And the whole valley of the dead bodies, and of the ashes, and all the fields unto the brook of Kidron, and unto the corner of the horsegate toward the East, shall be holy unto the Lord, neither shall it be plucked up nor destroyed anymore forever.

It is interesting to study about this brook and valley and the filled and unfulfilled prophecies.  You can read about the first and last time this brook and valley are mentioned Click here.

The darkest valley is spoken about in scripture.  Before you come to it you must go over the brook of Kidron.  David walked over it, Nehemiah, Jeremiah….then finally Jesus and his disciples on the way to the garden of Gethsemane on the night he was betrayed. The famous song says, “we all have to walk that lonesome valley by ourselves.”  Migration comes to us all to make that walk from this life to the next.  I have chosen to walk in the way of Jesus.  He went before me, but He is still with me.

If you would like to learn more about the Journey Jesus took over the Brook of Cedron I would be happy to share with you, your small or large group!  Email me at CinderellaReleased@gmail.com
