Labor For Love

I know your works, and your labor, and your endurance, and that you cannot bear those who are evil; and that you did test those who proclaim themselves to be apostles, but are not, and did find them liars; And that you have borne much and have endured, and for My name’s sake have labored and have not grown weary;

But I have this [charge] against you, that you have left your first love [you have lost the depth of love that you first had for Me].

Revelation 2:4 AMP

I had a dream about a tsunami and I was reminded of the parable Jesus shared with His disciples about a wealthy man entrusting three of his servants with three bags of talents (bags with different weights of gold). To one man He gave five, another two and the last was given one. The servant He gave one to, buried his out of fear instead of investing it.

  • Which servant am I?
  • How many talents have I been given 5,2 or 1?
  • Am I burying m talents out of fear, doubt or unbelief?
  • Have I stopped pursuing the plans and purposes of God?
  • Have I abandoned my intimate love relationship by trading it for something I believe is sweeter?

It is easy these days to be weighed down or fearful. God encouraged me to not be fearful or think that my age should stop me from passionately pursuing the work He has called me to as His daughter and servant.

When we allow clouds of darkness or derecho like storms to distract us we are unable to see the power and purposes of God and His promise to protect, redeem and restore us to Him, even in the aftermath of crisis or troubles.

In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world”

The world seems to overcome us at times, doesn’t it, but since Jesus overcame the world, we can do all things through Him who gives us strength.

John 16:33 & Philippians 4:13

The only way to true peace and understanding His unconditional love for the world is by getting into the boat with Jesus and weathering the storms of life with Him by our side.

Those in the early church continued to fight the good fight of faith even in the midst of false apostles. leaders, and persecution. These believers endured, continued the work of the ministry and did not grow weary or burned out.

Rather than complain, be fearful or angry; we can count our missions as pure joy and our God given golden bags of eternal opportunities invested for Him will keep us near to Jesus and we will see Him be glorified.

With that said, I believe this year (2022), will begin a season of revived health and wisdom for us. I’ve spoken with so many of you who are experiencing great trials and troubles, and yet I witness you holding firm to your faith and your FIRST LOVE. Don’t let go!

Maybe your health, your finances or your hope in God is being challenged.

And once more I say. “Don’t let go of Jesus”! He has an eternal unfailing plan. He never fails. His anchor holds through every storm. He labored and paid the ultimate price for your love.
