In 2015 I traveled to Kenya with two dear friends, Pastor Mary Johnson from Monroeville, Alabama and Missionary Laura Foote-Bacon from Pensacola, Florida. During this trip I met several men and women who love the Lord, are bringing others to Christ and are making disciples.

When I returned to Kenya in 2021 two of the men I met through Pastor Mary, I reconnected with. Bishop Tobias and his son Paul. Bishop had not changed much but Paul was no longer a shy teen but matured and now married.

Pastor Tobias and his daughter had a training session for their Sunday School teachers and he was sharing a testimony about all the things the Lord was doing in another town where he recently had planted a church before COVID.

Another one of the things we talked about was an area he had recently visited which was very oppressed. They really need a church there, and I felt the LORD say… Start Now to get… “Now Faith”.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Hebrews 11:1

Tobias feels God calling him to begin a new work there and I am praying about what Cinderella Released Ministries can do to be part in helping with this new work. As he shared I felt my heart quicken. So, we continue to be praying for God to do a mighty work there. Please join me in prayer for the area of Kabichbich.

During our breakfast time together Bishop’s son Paul also shared that he had gotten married to a beautiful woman named Metrine. In fact their one year anniversary was the next day. Both he and his wife are in full time ministry Kitale not far from Challenge Farm. Paul is an evangelist, and is interested in helping train other men, on how to grow in their giftings and callings. He has a training center not far from where I am. He also travels to surrounding countries, to minister as the Lord leads.

Please pray for Paul’s safety and well being as he travels and shares the gospel in these East African countries.

The Lord has been encouraging me to pray for them to “stand firm“.

If indeed you continue in the faith firmly established and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel that you have heard, which was proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, was made a minister.

Colossians 1:23

The following week Paul and his wife Metrine came over and she shared about the ministry where she is working. She and others go into the villages with feminie hygiene products they make, and teach the women to sew so they will have them for the women and girls in the community. They also use it as a tool to invite them to gather to hear the gospel, sing, make crafts and other items.

The name of the foundation where she works is called Binticare. Please pray for Paul and Metrine. Their ministry is one I feel great about supporting and will continue to help them monthly.

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.”

Ephesians 6:12-13

As the gospel is spread in Kenya, please keep these needs lifted up. I especially ask for your prayers and financial support as I seek His will as to what to spend time on, sow seeds into, and for new windows of opportunity to be opened.
