A new commandment I give unto you, That you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this shall all [men] know that you are my disciples, if you have love one to another.John 13:34-35
When COVID hit in March, I was like many others who were forced into quarantine. I was blessed at the time to be in a beautiful apartment where I began the process of sorting and organizing personal items I had gotten from my storage shed in Pensacola. I went through boxes of paperwork, personal items, letters, journals and memorabilia like Christmas cards. Some things I had kept for several decades. As I reminisced over these precious photos and cards, I began to pray and thank God for each one of them, and each one of you who are hopefully reading this blog.
This was a very special time for me and I want you to know you are not only special to me, but Jesus Christ holds each one of you in high regard. We are the reason God sent His Son Jesus, and He is the reason for the Christmas season.
Instead of packing these cards all back away, I got out my scissors and cut out the verses and pictures to add to my card making materials and brought them with me to Kenya. My plan was to repurpose these cards and pray for God to show me who to give them to. So after some long days and nights, on December 5th. each one of the individuals in the picture above received a new Christmas card made especially for them.
Some of you who will be reading this, may even recognize part of a card, that you sent to me! Your gift to me, (perhaps even years ago), has not only blessed me, but now has blessed an essential worker at the Challenge Farm. But more important, as my brother and sister in Christ, we are celebrating the birth of our Savior and finding ways to love and encourage each other during these difficult and stressful times. Please know that I am praying and thinking about you.
Please have a very Merry Christmas!
BLESSED IS OUR LORD MOST HIGH!
