The first time I met Tomas Lares was at a business meeting. The second time he was leading worship for an evening intercessory prayer service. Tomas speaks both English and Spanish fluently and in a way that draws you into both his passionate love for Christ and the details and horrific truth about human trafficking in the United States.

Tomas is more than a hearer of the Word, He is a doer and started an organization of listeners, and doers! Please pray for him, his staff and the men and women that are being rescued from human trafficking.

When we became friends over fifteen years ago and Florida Abolitionists was born and has now expanded nationwide to become United Abolitionists. You can sign up to receive trafficking text alerts at their website.

United Abolitionists exists to stop all forms of human trafficking in the United States. Many organizations tirelessly fight human trafficking on an international scale but there is so much work to be done right here in the U.S. Despite the increased media attention and legislative efforts, human trafficking remains pervasive in our country. We are dedicated to addressing the crime in “our own backyard”.

R & C a young couple in Alaska helps others find Christ, and recover from Human Trafficking, addictions, and more.

R & C lead human trafficking outreach initiatives, share the gospel, and minister to both men and women in Alaska. Their goal is to interact with women being trafficked and offer them hope and a future. R & C , also help men and women get out of pornography and other life controlling addictions, using a Christ-centered approach to repair broken lives.

When I first began working with and knowing R & C they had moved to Alaska from a large trafficking city in Texas. They operate an outreach ministry rescuing, discipling, and mentoring those who are not only survivors, but who want to grow deeper in their relationship with Yeshua.

When I lived in Alaska I was on a ministry prayer team with C and we would travel around the valley and pray over the brothels. In Alaska both children, and adults, male and female are usually trafficked by organized crime or gang. C had to stop going into places in Anchorage and other hotspots, because she was being recognized and it was becoming very dangerous. Now she and her husband, pray, teach and train others. Please keep them and their ministry in your prayers. I hope to visit them soon!

Coming into the new year, I had a grand vision for ministry to men who struggle with addiction to pornography.

Because of my own struggles with this addiction in the past, and the shame that kept me from seeking help – from a pastor, a close friend, or even my dad who l loved and respected – I wallowed alone in a very dark place for many years. Once it is safe to travel, and churches, businesses, and meeting groups are opened up, I hope to be traveling to visit and work with the ministers/ministries above. Please keep each one of these individuals and the work they are doing for the Kingdom in your prayers! I am campaigning now to become 100% funded in order to meet the ministry budget and goals for the remainder of 2020 and future 2021. My sending agency recommends for me to raise $49,000 per year to cover needed expenses. I am currently 35% funded which means I need to raise an additional $2300 per month. Over the past month giving has increased 10%. I thank the LORD for this, and all of my supporters. As I think about this in the natural, it looks impossible in the natural, but I know that with God, all things are possible. He always provides where He guides.
