corona tu año en recompensa

You Crown (Corona) the year with your bounty,
and your carts overflow with abundance.
the grasslands of the desert overflow;
the hills are clothed with gladness,
The meadows are covered with flocks
and the valleys are mantled with grain;
they shout for joy and sing.

Psalm 65:11-13

I was praying and I believe it was the LORD who quickened me through His Word. In the Old Testament there were specific laws about the land. There were instructions about taking care of it, allotting it, returning it to the original owner during Jubilee years, preventing bloodshed on the land, and allowing the land to rest. We see this pause, this resting, this crowning the land with solitude in the beginning when God establishes the Sabbath day.

By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. And God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.

Genesis 2:2

We see in the New Testament how Jesus was being approached by crowds of people. They were wanting to hear him, and also be touched by him, because He had the power to heal their sicknesses and diseases.

Can you imagine if He were walking through the earth right now? He would be teaching and healing people with the Corona virus.

Wait a minute! What did I just say? The truth is, Jesus IS here and He IS walking through the earth right now, through His many disciples. The last words Jesus spoke before His ascension into heaven,

And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In My name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not harm them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will be made well.”

Mark 16:15-18

I love the story about the man who was paralyzed and his friends just had to get him to Jesus, no matter what!

The Pharisees and teachers of the law also just had to come to hear Jesus. The Bible says that, “One day many of them came from every village in Galilee, from Judea and Jerusalem.”

They were sitting there listening to Jesus teach. The home they were in was full, and again the scripture says, “the LORD’s anointing to heal the sick was present.”

While Jesus was teaching the roof began to rattle and bits of it began to fall down upon the people inside. Within a few moments, Jesus looked up and down came this paralyzed man in a makeshift carrier and he was lowered down right in front of Him and everyone, including the religious leaders.

Friends of a paralytic man had taken off the roof and had lowered him down into the crowded room so Jesus could touch Him and make Him whole. They knew all their friend needed was a touch. Is there something in your life you need Jesus to touch? He can touch it right now. All you have to do is ask. Ask a friend, ask a Jesus carrier to pray with you and to lay hands on you.

In front of all the religious leaders, when Jesus saw the friends faith He said, “Man your sins are forgiven.”

Jesus not only healed the man of sickness, He healed the man of his sins. This infuriated the Pharisees and teachers of the law.

Jesus read their minds and knew what they were thinking. and asked them, “Why are you thinking these things in your hearts? He continues to speak to the infuriated leaders,
“Which is easier to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk?’

He slams the door shut on their teeth gnashing with, “But that you may know the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins…” Jesus had given these hard hearted men every opportunity to know Him, the Messiah, but their hearts grew even harder.

He then told the paralytic man, “Get up, take your mat and go home.”

And the man did. After this event Jesus went to be alone and to pray.

But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.

Luke 5:16

Could it simply be, the Lord is calling the world to a rest? Take up your mats and go home. Don’t worry about the rest of the world, don’t worry about the doubters, the scoffers, the sickness and diseases in the world. Go home and be with your family, be with your loved ones. Rest and relax. I’ve rescued you, healed you, forgiven you of all your sins.

I feel the Lord saying to me,
Come away with Me, delight yourself in Me, let your body rest, let your mind rest, let the land rest. Take off your farm hat, hard hat, work hat and allow Me to crown you with MY presence. I will give you peace as you rest in Me.

When I was growing up families used to prepare the Sunday meal on Saturday so that after church you could gather with family and friends. Restaurants, grocery stores, even gas stations were closed. Being at home to rest on Sunday was actually a time of refreshing.

Then forty years later as I was raising my sons we would go to other’s homes or we would have friends come to ours, bringing pot lucks and we would just laugh, fellowship and break bread together. The children played, the adults prayed and read the Word together and then we all went home and readied ourselves for the work day ahead.

We rested together in the LORD and we were refreshed abundantly.

During this time of Corona, Give yourself permission to do what Jesus told His disciples, “Come away by yourselves to a remote place and rest a while” (Mark 6:31).

Let me gift you with 10 benefits from Larry Tomczak, a writer from Charisma Magazine that spending time alone with Jesus will produce:

  1. Honor God.
  2. Gain hope.
  3. Find focus.
  4. Create momentum.
  5. Increase fruitfulness.
  6. Expand influence.
  7. Extend life.
  8. Improve sleep.
  9. Draw encouragement.
  10. Inspire others.

Who owns your land?
Who is King over your life and family?
Is your heart and land owned by the King of Kings and LORD of Lords?

If so, then allow HIS land to rest. Allow your heart to be ruled by Him and therefore rest yourself and your family in knowing,

The desire of the righteous ends only in good, but the hope of the wicked only in wrath.

Proverbs 11:23
