Preparing to be the Bride of Christ – A Hopeful Heart
13 “If you would prepare your heart,
And stretch out your hands toward Him;
14 If iniquity were in your hand, and you put it far away,
And would not let wickedness dwell in your tents;
15 Then surely you could lift up your face without spot;
Yes, you could be steadfast, and not fear;
16 Because you would forget your misery,
And remember it as waters that have passed away,
17 And your life would be brighter than noonday.
Though you were dark, you would be like the morning.
18 And you would be secure, because there is hope;
Yes, you would dig around you, and take your rest in safety.
19 You would also lie down, and no one would make you afraid;
Yes, many would court your favor.Job 11:13-19 New King James Version (NKJV)
Preparing to become the BRIDE begins with a preparation of the
heart. We can have all the answers, live a seemingly perfect life, but still miss becoming
the BRIDE.
Can I stand firm, be steadfast and without fear?
Can I cast my sorrows, hurts, disappointments and troubles on the sea of forgetfulness, and let them forever be gone without revisiting them?
If, I can put Christ in the forefront of every thought, action and deed, then and only then can my heart be prepared to receive the hope, security, safety confidence and favor to love and serve Him as He truly deserves.
As my faithful Defender, Shepherd, Lover, and HUSBAND.
