I was studying Psalm 2 this afternoon and came across the word “set.” It is an interesting word. 
In this Psalm it speaks of rulers or kingdoms setting themselves up… Wow there is a lot of this happening in our society today…
Further along in the Psalm it speaks of setting God upon His proper throne… for Christians this means putting God on the throne of our hearts… Read the Psalm and then read the definition…

2 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying,
3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
7 I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.
One definition says to stand up against God… kingdoms will come agains God, but then later…it speaks of putting God in the proper place which is also a definition… to stand up for stand by… in this case God….
The closing part of this Psalm speaks of the wisdom and intimacy that will come from seeking the Lord….
10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
11 Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

King of Creation
King of CreationI am His Queen – The King of Creation kisses me full on my mouth with His passionate love.
It’s better than wine, and is worth more than oil.
When He says my name – Creation stops to see….
if I will run into His arms.
Though others scoff me loving the King of Creation, I adore Him.
He ordained me to plant His fields,
to be darkened by the rays of His SON,
to watch over the flocks of the earth.
They are in my tender loving care.
Though I seek Him and sometimes grow weary awaiting His coming,
He desires me to make myself ready for His appearing.
Though He tarry, I must not wane,
in preparing myself to meet Him.
He will come — “Suddenly” to get me.
He loves me, he’ll never leave me alone or forsake me.
I’m His beloved and He is mine.
He is the King of Creation and I am His Queen.
In closing, the Lord spoke to me and said, “Have I not told you I WILL deliver you? When Daniel realized the 70 years of captivity was almost over he SET his face (standard) with MORE FERVENCY than ever before to SEEK THE LORD! Daniel 9:2-3
